Cable List Modes
The SCTE-List uses Listserv list software. Documentation can be found on the server lists.scte.org
TelecomReg List subscriptions can be in any of five modes:
- ack you get individual messages as each is sent; you get copies of your own messages.
- noack you get individual messages as each is sent; you do not get copies of your own messages.
- digest you get all the messages for an entire day (or until a 64,000 byte threshold is reached) assembled into a
single message; each individual post is in the form of an
attached file using MIME protocol; This may look better with a newer e-mail program, like Netscape Communicator or
Microsoft Outlook.
- digest-nomime you get all the messages for an entire day (or until a 64,000 byte threshold is reached) assembled
into a single message; each individual post is combined into a single, plain-text message, not as attached files.
- postpone you get no messages; you may still post messages, but will not see a copy of your message come back
from list; good for vacation or extended absence. To end postpone, set one of the other modes.
To change mode, use the command
set <listname> mail <mode>
